What settings should I use to collect my email?

Use can use the following settings to configure your email client with;

Typical Setup
Server Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.co.nz (Replace yourdomain.co.nz with the domain you're hosting)
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.co.nz (Replace yourdomain.co.nz with the domain you're hosting)
Username: mailboxname@yourdomain.co.nz
Password: The one set via your control panel
Incoming Port Number: 110
Outgoing Port Number: 25
Note: If your ISP blocks port 25 please use our alternate settings for your outgoing email.

Alternative SetupServer Type: POP3
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.co.nz (Replace yourdomain.co.nz with the domain you're hosting)
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.co.nz (Replace yourdomain.co.nz with the domain you're hosting)
Username: mailboxname@yourdomain.co.nz
Password: The one set via your control panel
Incoming Port Number: 110
Outgoing Port Number: 587

SMTP Authentication: This needs to be turned on. Use same settings as your Incoming server.
SSL/TLS: This needs to be turned off to avoid certificate warnings.

Email Accounts

We can help you arrange the details you need to enter into your mail client to setup the account. When seting up an e-mail account your "email client" will ask you for the following:

Your name, your email address These appear in the "from" address of emails you send using this account

Username and password We will email you your email and password.

Incoming (pop3) mail server
Type: pop3
server: pop3.(your domain name here).com
Ensure secure password authentication/ssl etc is turned off

Outgoing (SMTP) mail server Your ISP will have provided you with the details of the SMTP server you should use.  Unfortunitly we cannot provide you with an SMTP server because many ISPs block access to external SMTP servers as a measure to control spam.  If you dont know what SMTP server details to use you should contact your ISP's helpdesk, however you may find it in the following list
