Cloake Creative provides competitive hosting that is reliable, fast and cheap. We buy our hosting space in bulk from a New Zealand owned company that has been in business since 2002 and hosts over 2,500 Kiwi web sites. It is through this provider that we can offer all-in-one hosting solutions with plenty of disk space, bandwidth and additional features. All sites are hosted on New Zealand based servers with multiple layers of redundancy.

The domain name is your website address known as a URL. Before your site can go live you need to have a domain name. Cloake Creative can buy and renew this for you. Multiple Domains If you are having trouble coming up with one name to cover it all you may like to consider having multiple domain names pointing to your site.
Sub Domains Cloake Creative can also offer unlimited sub domains. A sub domain is when the "www" is replaced with a word for example: http://webservices.cloakecreative.co.nz.
What characters can a Domain contain? Domains may only contain a-z, 0-9, and - (hyphen). Domains can be up to 63 characters long, excluding the extensions. Domain names are not case-sensitive.
How will I know my Domain is due for renewal? When your domain is up for renewal you will receive an invoice from us 60 days prior to your Domain name becoming due for renewal. Email notifications are then sent 30 days, and 15 days before expiration. If the Domain is still not renewed an email will be sent to all the contacts associated with the Domain 2 days before expiration. This is a legal requirement. If you do not renew your name for .nz Domains your Domain will be placed on hold for 90 days. During this time you will not be able to use the Domain, but you will be able to renew it. Once the 90 day period is over the name will be made available again for public registration.
How do I cancel a Domain name? If you wish to dis-continue using your domain name, you can either let the Domain name expire, or contact us to cancel the Domain.
How do I transfer a Domain to another host? When your domain is registered you will receive via email A UDAI. (Unique Domain Authorisation ID) and is your access code for managing your .nz Domain. If you wish to transfer a domain to another host for .nz names you will need to generate the UDAI from your Domain management console and use it at your next host to transfer the name to them.
